Arper

Arper is an Italian company that produces and distributes worldwide chairs and tables for the community, work and home. Arper realizes the entrepreneurial project created in 1989, the activity of handmade leather work of Louis Feltrin, current President.

The creativity and passion of the founder, together research and innovation to the will of his sons Mauro and Claudio – the latter company's CEO -, characterize a company that today expresses interdisciplinary skills and organizational and managerial skills.

At the end of the 90s, Arper start a project that will allow the transition to industrial design, with the use of new materials and technologies, and a decisive change of scale. At the same time, the meeting with Studio Lievore Altherr Molina Arper marks a significant milestone for: born a fruitful collaboration that will be expressed through a series of new products, become "long sellers": between these, the collection of Catifa, declined in 5 different versions and, from 2001, sold more than a million pieces.

Other international designers have signed in time chairs, tables, sofas, stools and chairs. Jean-Marie Massaud, Simon Pengelly, Ichiro Iwasaki, James Irvine and Rodolfo Dordoni helped bring the company culture, thoughts and languages, always managing to interpret the style of Arper: an essential style, Elegant and contemporary, which translates into universal forms and timeless, able to blend in with any environment.

Though they look the result of a spontaneous creation, obtained without apparent effort, Arper products come from a rigorous synthesis of technology, costs, materials, function, use and taste. Even quality and environmental sustainability, and the use of less polluting and recyclable materials, are key points of the production policy of Arper. For this, in 2005 Arper has created a team dedicated to the environment, whose main task is to control and manage the environmental impact, from design to disposal of end of life. To give concrete expression to their commitment to the environment, Arper has been certified ISO 14001 and uses the LCA methodology (Life Cycle Assessment); Arper of the products also meet important international certifications (EPD, GreenGuard, GECA, Greenstar).

Arper collections are distributed through an international distribution network and presented in single-brand showrooms, placed in strategic cities: Milan, Cologne, New York, Stockholm, London and, soon, Copenhagen.
